The Justice, Peace, Integrity of Creation Commission (JPICC)-Association of Major Religious Superiors in the Philippines (AMRSP) was conceived when the Philippines was under Martial law and when human rights violations, salvaging, disappearances and harassment even of church workers was at its peak. It held seminars and fact-finding missions, engaged in relief assistance to human rights victims, as well as local and international solidarity networking.
In 1998, the JPC became the Justice, Peace, Integrity of Creation Commission (JPICC), also taking up the task of upholding the integrity of the environment. It pursues programs on the Integrity of Creation, addressing ecological concerns as justice and peace issues that are part of the attainment of fullness of life for all creation. Its campaign advocacies include human rights, good governance, electoral reforms, and environmentally-critical projects such as mining, logging, genetically-engineered organisms, and others.
